With a tidal wave of limitations faced by social media censorship (cheers Zuckerburg…), Norwegian quartet Slutface recently and most reluctantly changed their name to the more commercially friendly Sløtface. Ever more the political, feminist powerhouse, the name change has spurred one hell of a belter with brand new single ‘Sponge State’. Released via Propeller Records, ‘Sponge State’ carries satisfying influences from No Doubt, as singer Hayley Shea’s vocals intrigue as the band’s discography grows. The bright young things of the pop-punk scene, Sløtface’s debut EP also named ‘Sponge State’ is out on May 27th. -JE
